a little about me
From Art to Zen
I’m a visual artist with a professional history of work on films such as Avatar and Dragonball Evolution, and more recently, a few animated series for local Ottawa studios. My art is rooted in traditional drawing and painting–mastering my craft with each new experience.
Over the past few years, I’ve competed in several Art Battles which have inspired me to bring my classical painting to the forefront of my artistic career. The photo of me with the Buddha painting is an example of an Art Battle winner.
What started out as a three year old’s obsession with ninja turtles has evolved into my dedication to self-mastery–not just to the arts, but to life as well.
Something I learned along the way is that skill must be paired with experience in order to create depth in my work. At first, I was only concerned with making things look beautiful, but now I’m interested in using my gifts to share pieces of my soul with the world.
I believe art is a transformative medium for personal growth of both the creator and consumer. The culture of art is a testament to the ideals of mankind–that our true desires are to create a life of beauty, harmony, and self-mastery.
